Abstract
This paper describes the stray current corrosion problem in Xingang to Dalian Oil Pipeline. The relative data of this pipeline is as follows: 21. 6 km in total length, 711 × 7.1 mm in specification, L360 pipe steel, with 4.51 MPa of design pressure. According to the statistic data for this oil pipeline, there are 18 highway crossings, 6 railway crossings (4 crossings of light rail in them), one river crossing and one shallows crossing, and even more, more than 9 km pipeline section parallel to the Dalian Light Rail railway as well as 4 crossing over it along the whole pipeline. Meanwhile, this pipeline is parallel to or crossing over high voltage power mains. In this case, to avoid the possible corrosion induced by the stray current, the experiment and analysis on the main interference sources are made to take effective countermeasures in drainage protection. The drainage protection result shows that the protective potential is in the required scope and DC drainage protection is in line with relative standards.
