Non-dimensional Analysis on Hydraulic Transient of Dendritical Pipeline Network

Abstract
Based on the transient flow dynamics, hydraulic transient of dendritical pipeline network is studied. A non-dimension mathematical model on hydraulic transient of dendritical pipeline network is established by use of characteristic curve method. Considering hydraulic friction in terms of Q2-m and adopting finite difference method, the non-dimensional difference equation is established and solved numerically. The factors affecting transient pressure such as non-dimensional flow rate, acoustic speed of fluid tinner diameter and length of pipeline are analyzed. The results show that any slight variety of the one factor might result in intense change of the pressure of the calculating point.
