Geological Hazards Monitoring of Zhongxian-Wuhan Gas Transmission Pipeline

  • The pipeline section to the west of Yinchang City, Hubei Province of Zhongxian-Wuhan Gas Transmission Pipeline is located at mountain area with the complicated landforms and frequent geological hazards, and in this circumstances the geological hazards monitoring becomes more important matter to ensure the safe operation of the gas transmission pipeline. Taking two types of geological hazards, the Shunxi Slide 1(SX-I) and Zhangjiagou Rock Fracture, as monitoring targets, the monitoring scenario on the geological hazards is worked out, including 5 monitoring techniques. It is concluded that the results obtained will provide an important protection base to predict the variation and development trend of geological hazards, and fundamentally also a valuable experience to ensure the pipeline's safety.
