Construction Method of Cold-laid Bitumen Sand for Storage Tank Foundation in Intensive Cold Area

This paper introduces the asphalt performance, characteristics and application scope as well as adopting cold-laid bitumen sand technique for storage tank foundation construction under -15℃. The authors consider that this method effectively solves relative technological issues, can ensure the cold-laid quality and progress. The economic comparison on the cold-laid bitumen sand and ordinary bitumen sand in comprehensive cost is made, and the results show that the former is advantageous in price, which decreases the project cost.
