A Survey on Macroscopic Model's Application in the Optimal Running of Pipeline Networks

This paper introduces the basic concept of macroscopic models, and the developments of different kinds of macroscopic models in pipeline networks system, analyzes the characteristics, application conditions and defects about all kinds of macroscopic models. The application conditions of different macroscopic models in pipeline network systems are described and the problems to be solved in the application of macroscopic models in pipeline network systems are presented.
