Study on Reducing Freezing Point and Viscosity of High Freezing Point Heavy Oil by Emulsion

  • A research on reducing freezing point and viscosity by emulsification for Tuo 5th Well heavy oil is carried out.The results show that O/W emulsions with Tuo 5th Well heavy oil formed can make reduction of the heavy oil freezing point more than 10℃, the viscosity is greatly dropped and the viscosity reduction becomes 90%.A method of emulsification reduction freezing point and viscosity of Tuo 5th Well heavy oil is feasible.Both temperature and falling temperature rate have great effect on the emulsification result of Tuo 5th Well heavy oil.It is helpful for the heavy oil formed the O/W emulsion and raising the O/W emulsion of stability by addition of alkali in emulsifying agent.The emulsion is broken under certain a temperature.
