Measuring the Overall Heat Transfer Coefficient of Wei-Jing Oil Pipeline by the Method of Soil Thermal Conductivity

  • For the sake of holding the overall heat transfer coefficient change of Wei-Jing Oil Pipeline, optimizing the run program of the pipeline, economizing on energy for the pipeline run, the method of the soil thermal conductivity is applied for measuring the overall heat transfer coefficient of the pipeline. The key of the measurement is the soil thermal conductivity of the pipeline buried depth and its measurement. The probe method is applied for measuring the soil thermal conductivity along the pipeline. The philosophy and method of measurement for measuring the soil thermal conductivity are expatiated. The probe for measuring the soil thermal conductivity is designed and executed, the orientation of the measuring point and the buried depth measurement are by the underground line scouting instrument. The data of the field test is done regression by the numerical method. By the field test, the all-year average overall heat transfer coefficientof the pipeline is 1.8686 W/(m2 ·℃). The field measurement indicates that the soil thermal conductivity is available approach for measuring the overall heat transfer coefficient of the buried pipeline.
