Analysis on the Impact of Electrolytic Grounding Cell for the Cathodic Protection System of Long Distance Pipeline

  • This paper introduces the constitution and function of electrolytic grounding cell. The field experimental data demonstrates that the measuring errors of pipe/soil potential produce and the interference of output values of potentiostat occur by the electrolytic grounding cell, and very small-scale internal resistance will result in the current loss. The authors consider that the electrolytic grounding cell is not suitable for installing in rich subterranean water region.
