Study on the Jet-fire Shapes of Gas Pipeline

  • This paper describes the formed process of jet-fire of natural gas pipeline when it fails. On the basis of relevant theories and analysis, the shapes and basic parameters of jet-fire diffusion of gas are calculated with self-programmed software through a case. The equations to calculate the basic parameters like flame length and environmental wind speed are established, which provides the foundations in risk and consequence analysis of gas pipeline.
