Studies on the Simulation of Shear Effect in Pipelining PPD-beneficiated Crude: A General Review

  • Considered the flowability of PPD-beneficiated crude is related to endured thermal and shear history, it should be provided with the same thermal and shear history as in pipelining before its flowability is measured. Studies on the determination of simulation parameters of pipe-flow and pump-flow and on simulation methods are summarized and analyzed. It is pointed that developing mathematical models of shear and thermal effect on the flowablility of PPD-beneficiated crude based on the simulation experiments will be an important research aspect.
