The Deep Discussion of Heat Transfer Problem in Process of Batch Transportation of Cool and Hot Oil

  • The relative analysis on the heat transfer problem in process of batch transportation of cool and hot oil is carried out. The authors consider that the problem existed in the boundary conditions cited in the paper of The Research of Heat Transfer Problem in Process of Batch Transportation of Cool and Hot Oil (published in Nov. 25, 2004 OIL & GAS STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION) has a difference with the actual condition. Therefore, the authors correct the boundary conditions and relative equations, and give cal-culation results different from the paper and deeply demonstrate the problem on the basis of analyzing the test data of Dongying-Binzhou Oil Pipeline, which is similar to the boundary conditions cited in the paper. It is considered that if the batch transportation of cool and hot oil for Russian Crude Oil and Daqing Crude Oil is made on a basis of 7-day transportation circle showed in the paper, the heating-free transportation time of the blending oil has to be decreased in every transportation circle, that is, preheating the cool oil must be done to recover the temperature field to ensure an safe entrance temperature for Daqing Crude Oil at 33℃.
