Transporting Diesel with Heavy Oil Pipeline

This paper describes a program to transport diesel with heavy oil pipeline and the program implementation process. This old heavy oil pipeline from Lanzhou Petrochemical Company to Lanzhou Refinery with 125mm in diameter is proposed to be reconstructed as a pipeline to transport diesel. The actual operating point of pump is checked out by means of hydraulic calculation. The technical problems in cutting down power consumption, increasing throughput influence of temperature and winter's restart-up are taken into account. The rational running program of the reconstructed pipeline and safety operation regulation are working out.
