A New Method to Test the Wax Deposition Volume of Crude Oil

A new method to calculate the wax deposition volume by means of DSC curve method of crude oil is presented in the article. And the calculation result is basically in line with that of ordinary test method, but does calculate the wax deposition volume for different temperature sections of pipeline. The wax deposited point obtained from the thermodynamics method is 0. 6℃ compared with DSC curve method and the difference of wax deposition volume at different temperature section is remarkable. Compared with thermodynamics method, the new method to calculate the wax deposition volume is simple and practical.
