Study on the Rheology of High Water-content Crude Oil in Daqing Oilfield

After 40 years continuous withdrawal, the crude oil in Daqing Oilfield enters into a post high water-content phase, the water content is more than 80%, which results in the variation in its rheology. The study on relationship of rheology between the high water-content crude and ordinary crude vs water content and temperature is carried out. The regression parameters of the high water-content crude are given and the analysis on the relationship between rheology of high water-content crude and temperature is made. The results show that the transportation of high water-content crude should be conducted as an oil-in-water way, which is of great importance in transportation, design and technical modification of pipelining the high water-content crude.
