Site Application of HG DRA in LinPu Oil Pipeline

  • This paper introduces the application characteristics and drag reduction machamism of HG DRA. A corresponding analysis is made on the relation of HG DRA's injection volume to drag reduction rate and transportation rate, the selection of theoretical equations as well as the dispersion degree and safety of HG DRA. The site application results show that applying HG DRA not only obtain satisfactory drag reduction effectiveness and increase transportation capacity of pipeline, but also ensure the operation safety. The demonstration and analysis on technology, safety and economy are made on the application of HG DRA in LinPu Oil Pipeline. The demonstrative results show a bright prospect in realizing a 15% transportation rate for this pipeline.
