Local Cathodic Protection for Pumping and Compressor Stations

The paper gives the problems existed in local cathodic protection in pumping and compressor stations, oil tankfarm and heating station, including high consumption in CP current, DC interference and shielding. It is considered that the perfect local CP can be obtained by multiple anode, far/near anode localization and sacrificial anode grounding for the structures with low current, which can effectively control the interference and lower the shielding. The technical requirements on the CP structure, system design, installation, operation test and interference controlling are introduced.
