Economic Analysis of LNG Transportation by Container

In the past years, the freight volume of LNG has been increasing with the growing consumption of natural gas in China. LNG container has become one of the most favorite facilities because it can be transported easily. In this paper, the influence of the size of the LNG container, the transportation distance and the consumption on the freight cost of natural gas is analyzed. The results show that the LNG transported by 40 ft container is cheaper and more competitive than other gas-fuel, such as LPG.
