Uniting Atmospheric Pressure Containers and High-pressure Containers to Store Liquefied Natural Gas

  • The thermodynamic property of liquefied natural gas (simplified LNG) that the boiling point of LNG rising with its pressure is introduced. The advantages and disadvantages of methods using atmospheric pressure container and high-pressure container respectively to store LNG are analyzed. Based on the ther-modynamic theory of LNG and the advantages of methods using atmospheric pressure container and high-pressure container respectively to store LNG, a new method uniting high-pressure container with atmospheric pressure container to store LNG is put forward. The new method needs less equipments and less investment, its process is very simple and easy to operate. It will have a bright future and should be popularized.
