Selection and Adoption on Pipe Towing Machinery for Construction of Mountainous Pipeline

  • The construction of mountainous pipeline is difficult for pipe towing. This paper recommends some towing machineries, such as steel cable-lift, pipe rail-carrier and pipe crawling-carrier suitable for mountainous use. The structure and work principle of steel cable-lift is described, the selection way of machinery, its performance and parameters, as well as calculation method are given. The comparison on the domestic other aerial rigging route in operation principle, delivery way and machinery component is carried out, and the viewpoint on the characteristics of mountainous pipeline construction is presented.
