Selection on Leak Detection Scenario of Long-distance Liquid Pipeline

  • This paper introduces different leak detection techniques used in long-distance liquid pipelines and their characteristics. Take Korla-Shanshan Oil Pipeline and Lanzhou-Chengdu-Chongqing Products Pipeline as examples, the author analyzes comprehensively the influencing factor in transportation process, equipments, SCADA system, communication system and investment on leak detection techniques of the pipeline. It is considered that the analytical results can provide a technical support on the selection and determination of leak detection scenarios to long-distance liquid pipelines.
