Development and Application of PIPEWAY-S DRA for Products Oil

The viscosity reduction additive is introduced into the reaction system based on the traditional solution polymerization method and the gel type products oil drag reducing agent, PIPEWAY-S, is developed. Through optimized screening tests, the DRA samples are prepared in laboratory, which shows remarkable drag reduction and application capabilities and other eminent integrated performances. The industrial test of middle-scale DRA products are carried out in the Fushun-Bayuquan Products Oil Pipeline. The test results indicate that under the DRA dosage of 50 mg/kg, the pipeline throughput can be lifted from design capacity of 240×10⁴ t/a to 320×10⁴ t/a, 33% increase is achieved.
