Application of Batch Transportation Process in Dongying-Huangdao Parallel Oil Pipeline

Dongying-Huangdao Parallel Oil Pipeline is the first automatic control oil pipeline, in which the Huangdao-Guangrao pipeline section began to batch transport import oil at the end of 1999. This paper introduces the characteristics of batch transportation process, analyzes the mechanism of contaminated products produced during the process and provides the calculation equations in dealing with the contaminated volume. The influence factors on the contaminated volume are analyzed, the cut method on contamina-ted volume is given and analysis on the hydraulic behavior is made.
