Short-term Peak Shaving Scenario for West-to-East Gas Transmission Pipeline

Abstract
Based on the West-to-East Gas Pipeline's operation in 2008, the research on short-term peak shaving is carried out. TGNET models of the West-to-East Gas Pipeline for short-term peak shaving are established. After a series of withdrawal schedules in a high load week are simulated for underground gas storage, several feasible withdrawal schedules of underground gas storage are worked out. Analysis on the simulation results of every withdrawal schedule is made. As to withdrawal schedules of underground gas storage in a high load week, energy cost of each schedule can be calculated according to the simulation results and" the optimal peak shaving plan with the lowest cost is obtained.
