Application and Characteristic Analysis of the Drag Reduction Agent in Nanshu Products Transportation Pipeline

It is the first time that the products oil drag reduction agent (DRA) made inland is applied in the products transportation pipeline. The tests of the PIPEWAY-S304 products DRA, which is developed by Pipeline Science & Technology Research Center of PetroChina Pipeline Company, have achieved great success. The paper introduces the tests process, analyzes the principles of performance of DRA and gives out the calculation formulae on frictional drag in different concentrations based on the test data.
