Reliability Research on Fatigue Caused By Vortex Induced Vibration of Submarine Pipeline Span

The vortex induced vibration of pipeline span is the leading factor of fatigue invalidation of pipeline, and is the most important confronted and urgent to be solved problem during the reliability design and evaluation of pipeline span. Concerning fatigue invalidation of pipeline span caused by vortex induced vibration, a reliability analysis method being more corresponded to the operation status of pipelines is presented based on stochastic processes theory and reliability analysis theory.
