Feasibility Analysis on Using Underground Cavern as State Oil Strategic Reserves

The state oil strategic reserves is of strategic importance to a country, however, the location and types to be determined will effect a lot on the whole project. By analyzing the geological configuration in Huangdao district and comparing the aboveground oil tankf arm with a capacity of 3 million cubic meter with the underground cavern with the same capacity, the authors consider that the underground cavern has a remarkable advantage in safety, economy and environmental protection.
