Model Prediction and Measurement for Multiphase Flow Phase Holdup

  • During the exploitation process of the oil and gas fields, the fact that the transportation of oil-gas water three-phase flow has distinctive economic advantages has stimulated the researches on multiphase transportation technologies. In the multiphase flow calculation, phase holdup is an important parameter. Predicating and measuring phase holdup correctly play important role in flux measurement, technical calculation and optimum run of multiphase flow pipelines. Therefore, concerned scholars have brought forward many models to calculate holdup and correlative measurements and equipments. This article introduces the models predication and measurement methods on the phase holdup presented by concerned scholars.
