Oil Tank Capacity Calculation on Batch Transportati On Pipeline

The mistakes of formulae for the oil tank capacity calculation of oil batch transportation pipeline in Soviet Union specialized textbook are pointed out and a new algorithm is induced by means of analyzing and deducing.In this formulae, the time for no transporting of one product in the sequence (except for the two ends products) is divide'd into two parts, while the tank capacity for the product should be considered with the longer part.The example indicates that the traditional computation is improper.The new idea and formulae put forward in this paper have important meaning for optimization of design and transportation in product pipeline.
