Calculation and Test on the Remaining Strength of the Pipe withVolumetric Type Flaw

  • The remaining strength of the pipe with volumetric type flaw is calculated and tested in Level 1 assessment, 3D Finite Element Method (FEM) and full scale burst test respectively in the article. The analysis and comparison are made for the three methods. It indicates that the result of FEM is less than the one of full scale burst test, and the result of Level 1 assessment is less than the one of FEM.
