Determination on Optimal Pump Operating Way for Long-distance Crude Oil Pipeline

In this paper, the author presents an optimal pump operating way on the basis of cutting down power consumption by means of computer to work out an overall power consumption at different pump unit combination operating ways and determine an optimal pump operating way corresponding to the lowest total power consumption. The site application shows that this method is effective and rational for the management of oil pipeline, which is also suitable to hot-oil pipeline.
