Compounding of Specific Lateral High Carbonic Polypropylene Alcoholic Ester and Pour Point Depressant Performance Evaluation

Abstract
This paper gives analysis and evaluation on molecule structure and pour point reduction effect for crude oil for different kinds of high carbonic polypropylene alcoholic ester made in China and abroad. The study shows that the pour point depressant A-4115 by Baker-Hughes Co. of America has a better effect in pour point reduction for Daqing crude oil. The polymer is a kind of high carbonic polypropylene alcoholic ester, which has specific lateral chain structure, higher molecule weight and larger distribution scope. It gives a reaction method to compound monomer high carbonic polypropylene alcoholic ester under the conditions, of which the acrylic acid and high carbon alcohol such as C18, C20, and C22 alcohol are used as raw material, opposite phenol esterification time is about 4 to 6 hours at about 100~130℃. Specific lateral high carbonic polypropylene alcoholic esters are synthesized under different reaction conditions. The comparison results are given from tests by test comparisons of newly compounded esters and other high carbonic polypropylene alcoholic eater made in China and abroad.
