Study and Experiment on Replacing N₂ with BOG in the Thermocase of LNG Tank

Accordingly to the requirements of generally accumulated heat insulation LNG tank to gas filled in thermocase, BOG and N₂ are compared and analyzed. The theoretical results show that it is feasible and eeonomical to replace N₂ with BOG in thermocase of LNG tank. On the basis of the theoretical results, experiments are made. The experimental results indicate that it is feasible to replace N₂ with BOG from the view of technology, and it has a good economical effieiency and is worthy to be popularized.
