The Feasibility Analysis on the Air Pressure Test Method for West-to-East Gas Transmission Project

  • For West-to-East Gas Transmission Project, there is a total length of 2500 km of pipeline will pass through the northwestern China, which is badly short of water, ted to a big problem to perform hydrostatic pressure test along this pipeline section. In allusion to the feasibility of air pressure test in the pipeline sec-tion, an economic analysis and comparison is made between the hydrostatic pressure test and air pressure test in technology and safety feasibility. The results show that the air pressure test method can be applied in this pipeline section.
