Improvement Methods for Water Drainage Tube Failure of Crude Oil Storage Tank

  • This paper presents firstly the research on failure reason of rainwater drainage tube of oil tank by means of detecting the displacement of tank base, finite element analysis of deformations of tank body and displacements of its floating roof. According to the failure reason, improvement methods are given in this paper, especially, a device detecting liquid height in tank is invented and used to detect tank deformation and protect rainwater drainage tube from failure.
