Model Test on Anti-liquification of Soil for Buried Pipeline

  • The liquification of soil foundation from earthquake impacts significantly the buried pipeline. The different factors result in soil liquification, and the relationship between the factors is very complicated, which is hard to evaluate and predict the impact of soil liquification on buried pipeline. The model test of anti-liquification of soil for buried pipeline is made. On the basis of observation and measurement on the variation of model pipe and foundation, the density of saturated soil in liquification state is found, which can provide useful data to anti-liquification of soil calculation. Some effective measures on anti-liquification of soil are summarized.
