The Feasibility Study on BEM-6 Pour Point Depressant Used in Shuanghe—Weigang Oil Pipeline

In the article, the test and study on BEM-6 pour point depressant (PPD) used to decrease the set point and viscosity of Weijing crude oil in different proportions are made. The test results show that this kind of PPD has high efficiency in decreasing the set point and viscosity. The operating condition of the pipeline in fall and winter displays that the pipeline section in No. 2 Tanghe Pumping Station can be operated with bypass operation after the PPD added, which can meet the needs of low-throughput operation of pipeline, and can obtain economic profits.
