Silicic-Mgai Asbestos-free Insulation to Cut Down Energy Consumption

  • This paper presents the characteristics of Silicic-Mgal insulation, a insulating material with asbestos-free in light weight. Based on the cost comparison between Silicic-Mgal insulation and microporosity calcium silicate insulation, the former is selected in a vapor pipeline network project in Shijiazhuang Refinery. It is pointed out that this insulation is characterized by low thermal conductivity factor, low density, non-corrosion, low cost and easy to install, which meets the requirements of energy saving and reduction of energy consumption.
