Latest Methods Used to Build the Pipe in Land Tunnels in West-East Gas Project

land tunnels are under construction in West-East Gas Pipeline Project (WEPP). To ensure the quality of pipe installation in tunnel and the work finished in time is a key of this project. This paper provides the latest organization and implementation of tunnel pipeline construction methods used in WEPP and presents construction process, including automatic welding, nondestructive testing, pipe roller supports and an anchoring system to install the 1016 mm in diameter pipe within mountain and loess tunnels.
