Wind-induced Response Analysis of Long Span Suspension Pipe Bridge

  • Three-dimension finite element model is built according to the actual structural characteristic of suspension pipe bridge. Model analysis of it is made by special finite element software for calculation. Through modal analysis of suspensi on pipe bridge, its preceding 20 modes are obtained, and its mode shape of every mode is known. On the basis of the modal analysis, the nonlinear finite element is used to analyze the dynamic response of suspension pipe bridge to cross wind excitation. The result shows that the possibility of damage of suspension pipe br idge under cross wind load action is small. Some conclusion obtained in the paper will be used as a reference for relevant engineers.
