The Progress and Prospect in Retarding Techniques of Gasoline Evaporation

Gasoline evaporation is harmful to the environmental quality, prof it of the relative enterprises and the process safety in the crude oil storage, transportation, refining and product sales. Reducing the evaporation loss is always an important research project in the storage and transportation department. Some techniques taken to reduce the evaporation loss of gasoline are reviewed in this paper. Based on the analysis to the floating roof tank's technique and the behaviors of fluorocarbon surfactants, an insoluble monolayer film technique which is used to retard evaporation of gasoline is proposed in this paper.
