Research Developments of Wax Deposition in Waxy Crude Oil Pipelines
Wax deposits can lead to reduce effective inside diameter of the pipeline, increase transport pressure, reduce capacity of the pipeline, more frequent pigging requirement and even potential blockage. Research developments of thermodynamic model of wax precipitation, mechanism and kinetic model of wax deposition are presented and some suggestions on study are also given.
