The Importance of Advanced International Inspection Technology Used in Shannxi-Beijing Gas Transmission Pipeline

Starting from the intelligent inspection technology of pipeline, the international inspection indexes used in Shannxi-Beijing Gas Transmission Pipeline are explained, and the relationship between the allowable defects and thickness of pipeline is presented. As a results, the advanced technology on the mechanical property, electron system, circuit/system and signal process system meeting the requirements of Shannxi-Beijing Gas Transmission Pipeline is reviewed. The author considers that the advanced inspection technology used in the pipeline will play an important role for the pipeline's safety operation.
