Site Application of BEM-5P Flow Improver for Dagang Oil

  • For oil transported in long distance pipeline, injecting flow improver can improve the low-temperature flowability of crude oil and decrease the fuel and power consumptions. A room experiment on oil added BEM-5 Flow Improver is made for Dagang oil. Based on the experimental results, the optimal heat treatment temperature and injection volume are given. According to the operation conditions, the different adding locations of the pipeline are determined, and the operational parameters of pipeline in different seasons after adding are provided by computed results.
