Optimized Design on Oil Throughput Stimulation Process in Hui'anbao-Zhongning Oil Pipeline

  • Hui'anbao-Zhongning Oil Pipeline was put into operation in 1978 with a total length of 164 km and 325 mm in diameter, the design pressure was 6.27 MPa, and the design capacity was 400×104 t/a. According to a long-term transportation program, the transportation capacity of the pipeline will be increased from current 218.5×104 t/a to 550×104 t/a in 2005. To achieve it, four stimulation programs are worked out. Through an economy evaluation, the optimized stimulation program (pipe displacement to increase oil throughput) is determined. Combining the design program, the number of main pumping sets are also determined.
