The Commissioning Technology Adopted in Jing'an-Xianyang Oil Pipeline

  • Jing'an-Xianyang Crude Oil Pipeline, with total length of 462.6 km, is a reducer pipeline with several branch pipes. This oil pipeline is characterized by remarkable elevation along the line, without any pressure-reducing station installed. The cpoxy coal tar pitch is used as external coating, and polyethylene-rigid polyurethane foam as thermal insulation (t = 30 mm) with impressed current cathodic protection. According to this characteristics of the pipeline, the quasi-cold commissioning method is adopted. The pipeline's commissioning process is divided into three steps, that is pigging -with compressed air, pressure testing with water and preheating and blended oil (produced from An'sai Oilfield and Jing'an Oilfield) transportation. The thermal and/or hydraulic calculation is done and computational results display that the commissioning way is rational. The current transportation process of this pipeline is tight line transportation.
