Study on Local Dynamic Effect of Oil Tank under the Seismic Action

Abstract
The inferior disaster often occurs in the oil tank under the seismic action. In this paper, the finite element method is used to derive the mass matrix and stiffness matrix of the revolutionary shell. Then these matrices are combined to the mass matrix and stiffness matrix of the liquid in the tank. The seismic local dynamic effect of the storage tank has been emphatically analyzed on the base, and the continuous mass in-ertial force in the element is considered. It could be found from the engineering case calculation that the local dynamic effect must be considered when the anti-seismic analysis of the oil tank is carried out. This makes the anti-seismic analysis of the complicated structure more accurate. Some useful results are obtained. These are beneficial to engineering design.
