CE-NATCI heat medium heaters, imported from U. S. A. and used in Huangdao-Dongying Oil Pipeline, are operated with the design heat efficiency by 92. 3%. But this design value is found lower than the original one in actual operation. So, a thermal equilibrium measurement on a selected heat medium heater is conducted and an analysis on the measurement data is carried out. The analysis results reveal the factors influencing the heat efficiency. The improvement measures are given.
