The Determination of Pigging Period and Economic Analysis for Korla- Shanshan Oil Pipeline

On the basis of general operating parameters of Korla-Shanshan Oil Pipeline, the variation of thickness of wax deposit obtained between the fourth and fifth pigging is analyzed by calculation, and the friction variation of the pipeline before and after pigging is also discussed. Through qualitative analysis and calculation on the cost increment value of pipeline operation between the fourth and fifth pigging, the pigging period is determined for Korla-Shanshan Oil Pipeline.
