Analysis and Corrosion Control of "Dead Zone "Corrosion of Oil Pipeline under the Cathodic Protection Condition

A corrosion phenomenon of pipeline that happened under the conditions of coating and impressed current protection is introduced. This phenomenon is called the "dead zone corrosion of oil pipeline" under the CP condition. The cause of the dead zone corrosion produced is described. Based on the features of the dead zone corrosion, the corrosion mechanism is analyzed. Some effective measures against this kind of corrosion are put forward in the paper.
