Assessment Pattern Analysis of Petroleum Pipeline Safety

The safety situation of petroleum pipeline which has been used for many years and to be laid in the future, for pipeline management department, is extremely urgent to be evaluated. There are many different e-valuation patterns and codes which may be used now, for example, the assessment model of fitness for purpose, the analysis model of risk management, the integrity assessment technique and the method of reliability evaluation. Those approaches which contain items, indexes, programs, methods and rules, are not only connected mutually, but also distinguished mutually. But the lack of unification among the patterns is obviously existed, this could affect validity, correctness and coherence of conclusion for assessing petroleum pipeline safety, and is not useful for standardization of evaluation procedure yet. So suggestions based on the discussion, comparison and analysis to the assessment models are given in the paper.
